Microsoft Powerpoint shortcut keys

Microsoft Powerpoint is essential software to present data and information by using text, diagrams, images etc. in the form of slides. Some keyboard shortcuts can make our work bit productive and faster. Some of the Microsoft Powerpoint shortcuts that I personally perform on daily basis are given below.


       




Some Microsoft Powerpoint shortcut keys:

o   F1 - For Help.

o   F2 - Select the text box containing an object or text.

o   F5 - Slide show From Beginning.

o   F6 - Moves to the next pane in the presentation (clockwise).

o   F7 - Spelling dialog box.

o   F12 - Save As dialog box.

o   Alt + F4 - Closes the active presentation or window.


Shortcuts with Letters: 

o   Ctrl + A - Select all contents of the page.

o   Ctrl + B - Bold selected text.

o   Ctrl + C - Copy selected text.

o   Ctrl + D - Duplicate of the selected slide.

o   Ctrl + E - Align selected text or line to the center.

o   Ctrl + F - To find content.

o   Ctrl + G - Grid and Guides dialog box.

o   Ctrl + H - Find and replace options.

o   Ctrl + I - Italic highlighted selection.

o   Ctrl + J - Justify paragraph.

o   Ctrl + K - Insert Hyperlink.

o   Ctrl + L - Align selected text or line to the left.

o   Ctrl + M - Inserts a new blank slide.

o   Ctrl + N - Creates a new blank presentation.

o   Ctrl + O - Open options dialog box.

o   Ctrl + P - Print window.

o   Ctrl + S - To Saves.

o   Ctrl + T - Font dialog box.

o   Ctrl + U - Underlying the selection.

o   Ctrl + V - To Paste copied item.

o   Ctrl + W - Closes the active presentation or window (saving first).

o   Ctrl + X - Cuts the current selection to the clipboard.

o   Ctrl + Y - Redo the last Excel operation.

o   Ctrl + Z - Undo the last Excel operation.

                                                                   



Shortcuts of Enter, Delete, Backspace Home, End, Page up, Page down and Arrow keys:

o   Enter - Enters a New paragraph.

o   Shift + Enter- Enters a line break.

o   Ctrl + Tab - Inserts a tab in a table cell.

o   Home - Moves to the beginning of the line.

o   End - Moves to the end of the line.

o   Page Up - Moves to the previous slide.

o   Page Down - Moves to the next slide.

o   Ctrl + Home - Moves to the beginning of the text box.

o   Ctrl + End - Moves to the end of the text box.

o   Ctrl + Up Arrow - Moves up one paragraph.

o   Ctrl + Down Arrow - Moves down one paragraph.

o   Ctrl + Left Arrow - Moves one word to the left,

o   Ctrl + Right Arrow - Moves one word to the right.

o   Ctrl + Enter - Moves to the next title or body text placeholder.

o   Shift + Home - Selection to the beginning of the line.

o   Shift + End - Selection to the end of the line.

o   Shift + Up Arrow - Selection one line up.

o   Ctrl + Shift + Up Arrow - Selects to the line above.

o   Shift + Down Arrow - Selection one line down.

o   Ctrl + Shift + Down Arrow - Selects to the line below.

o   Shift + Left Arrow - Selection one character to the left.

o   Ctrl + Shift + Left Arrow - Selects to the beginning of the word.

o   Shift + Right Arrow - Selection one character to the right.

o   Ctrl + Shift + Right Arrow - Selects to the end of the word.

o   Ctrl + Shift + Home - Selection to the beginning of the textbox.

o   Ctrl + Shift + End - Selection to the end of the textbox.

o   Delete - Deletes one character to the right.

o   Backspace - Deletes one character to the left.

o   Ctrl + Delete - Deletes one word to the right.

o   Ctrl + Backspace - Deletes one word to the left.


Formating:

o   Ctrl + ] - Increases the font size +1.

o   Ctrl + [- Decreases the font size -1.

o   Ctrl + Shift + >  - Increases the font size to the next size in the drop-down list.

o   Ctrl + Shift + < - Decreases the font size to the next size in the drop-down list.

o   Ctrl + = - Toggles Subscript on the selection.

o   Ctrl + Shift + = - Toggles Superscript on the selection.

In this blog we will check some cool features of Photoshop Tools.
